The game of Jeu de boules is super simple, but a little different than most people think. Maximum of 8 people per court.

Preparation:
Make your choice:
1 against 1 (each player gets 3 balls)
2 against 2 (each player gets 3 balls)
3 against 3 (each player gets 2 balls)

Goal of the game: Throw the boule as close as possible to the but

• Throwing is done from the throwing circle. Both feet of the player must be in the circle .
• The starting player throws the small ball (the but).
• The first player tries to throw the boule as close to the but as possible.
• Now it is the other player's turn. The other player tries to throw a boule closer to the but. This can be done by throwing a boule closer or by throwing a boule away.
  • If they succeed, it is the other team's turn.
  • If not, the same team can keep throwing until it succeeds. When all balls have been thrown, it is the other team's turn.
• When all boules have been played, the winning team gets as many points as the number of balls closer to the but than the opponent's best boule.
• The team that won the previous throwing round gets to start the new throwing round. The throwing circle is placed again.
• The team that scores 13 points first is the winner.
• If during the game the but goes outside the lane, the game round is played again.
• Whoever loses rakes the court .
